Our Pastors

Efrain Muñoz is the Senior Pastor of New Life Covenant Church in Chicago.  He became the Executive Pastor of New Life more than 20 years ago and in 2021 was ordained by the Assemblies of God as he transitioned into the role of Senior Pastor.  Pastor Efrain has been married to his beautiful wife, Esther, for 36 years and together they have 3 adult children.  They are the grandparents of 4 beautiful children.  Pastor Efrain has been preaching and teaching at his church for decades and is passionate about bringing glory to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Rico Altiery is the Executive Pastor of New Life Covenant Church. His responsibilities include developing and supporting the mission of the church under the leadership of the Senior Pastor. He is the co-founder of the men’s retreats, the annual Jumpstart Conference, and the Redeemed Riders Motorcycle Ministry.

Pastor Rico is a U.S. Army veteran who served in the military during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His current passions are leadership development, discipleship, men’s ministry, and preaching.

He and his wife (also a pastor at New Life) have been married for 35 years. Their two daughters are each married, and this past year they welcomed their first grandson, Maddux.
