Senior pastor, David Marrero
Pastor David is deeply passionate about preaching the Word of God with clarity and conviction. His heart beats for the city of Chicago, and he carries a strong burden to reach people in broken places—helping them find healing, hope, and purpose in Christ.
He holds a Bachelor of Ministry degree in Biblical Counseling from West Coast Bible College and Seminary and has also earned a Master’s degree in Missional Leadership Trinity Bible College. In 2017, he became a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God.
Pastor David began his full-time ministry journey in 2003 as the Youth Pastor of New Life Covenant Church, where he faithfully served for 10 years. During that time, he also led and directed Chicago Master’s Commission, a nine-month discipleship program focused on developing young leaders and strengthening their biblical foundation. He had the privilege of leading New Life Covenant Northwest from (2013-2019) and Humboldt Park as the Campus Pastor from (2019-2026).
As of June 2026, Pastor David was anointed as Senior Pastor of New Life Covenant Church, stepping into this role with humility, vision, and a deep commitment to the mission God has entrusted to the church.
Pastor David and his wife, Marisol, have been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of three beautiful children: Jada, Nikolas, and Mila.
